Chapek’s work is shaped by a sustained inquiry into place and belonging. After a childhood marked by frequent moves, she developed an enduring interest in stability and grounding that continues to inform her practice. Now based in Washington State, her daily immersion in landscape—through time in the Puget Sound and the surrounding wilderness—has become central to her visual language. In CRISP RENEWAL architectural and natural forms interweave in constant transformation, with nature steadily overtaking structure and dissolving it into atmosphere and movement.
