SuttonBeresCuller completed the recent Artist Residence Program to create new work at the Hot Shop.
About SuttonBeresCuller: For years SBC has created unique art objects that play on the materiality and function of everyday tools and other commonplace objects. Having initially realized this body work by casting in bronze using the lost wax method, in recent years they've expanded to work to glass, producing their first glass iterations of these pieces while artists in residence at Pilchuck. To date, an ensemble of hammers, mallets, plungers, and disco balls have been recreated in this medium. During the time at MoG we hope to add to this by creating plungers, a hammer, nails, screws, bolts, gas cans, tin cans, and similar objects.
